Victory in Japan extends Taguchi’s APRC lead heading for Whangarei

Japanese driver Katsu Taguchi, with newly recruited Australian co-driver Chris Murphy, finished Rally Hokkaido the best of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) competitors to further extend his lead in the regional rally competition.

Taguchi Wins Home Event in Hokkaido

Japanese driver Katsu Taguchi has won Rally Hokkaido, Round 2 of the 2010 Asia Pacific Rally Championship.
 
Taguchi's win is his second of the season, after winning Malaysian Rally in April and takes the MRF Tyres Mitsubishi driver to a commanding lead in the APRC drivers title.

Motor Image Racing Team Exits Asia Pacific Rally Championship on a High Note

Singapore - Motor Image Racing Team (MIRT), sponsored by Motor Image Enterprises, will no longer participate in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) after finishing the 2009 season, ending its decorated three-year association with the rally.

Crocker Wins in China and 2009 APRC

Current APRC champion Cody Crocker won the event overall, while Motor Image team-mate Emma Gilmour gained enough points to move into second in the drivers championship.
