The same benefits will apply to the Cup entrants including collective shipping and coordination, inclusion in the global TV coverage, seeding at the head of the field, primary positions at service parks – plus the opportunity to compete in international events with the associated exposure and experience.
A summary of the regulations are as follows:
• A competitor can win the 2012 APRC and either the ASIA or PACIFIC Cup.
• Asia Cup and Pacific Cup –3 events in each region.
• Pacific Cup – nominate 3 events (of 3 – New Zealand, New Caledonia, Australia) prior to close of entries for first event.
• Asia Cup – nominate 3 events (of 3 – Malaysia, Japan, China) prior to close of entries for first event contested.
• Teams can register for the full APRC and either the Asia or Pacific Cups – but not both Cups.
• APRC - Nominate 6 events prior to close entries of first event.
• APRC – to qualify for points and awards at least 5 of the nominated 6 events must be contested.
• Penalty for any missed APRC or Cup events is the full entry fee – to be paid to event organizers.
• Points may only be scored at nominated events.
Introduced for the first time in 2011, APRC will incorporate a Junior Cup with a view to increasing opportunities for young talented drivers from with in the region.
A summary of the requirements are as follows:
• Open to drivers aged 28 years old or younger as at 1 Jnuary 2012. Drivers who turn 28 years old on 1 January in the year of competition will be eligible.
• To be contested in currently homologated 2WD cars with a maximum of 1600cc.
• Four qualifying rounds – New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Japan.
• To qualify for points or awards a minimum of 2 rounds must be contested (1 in Pacific, 1 in Asia).
• Penalty for any missed Junior Cup events is the full entry fee – to be paid to event organizers.
Introduced for the first time in 2011, APRC will offer a Team Trophy for those competitors who wish to compete for this award.
A summary of the regulations are as follows:
• A registered competitor may nominate registered drivers to score team points at any event
• Drivers may be APRC, Cup or Junior registered
• Registered competitors may introduce new drivers for team points only at any event. These drivers must also be registered.
• The registered drivers must be entered in the nominated events by the registered competitor who will receive team points.
• Competitors must nominate their team drivers before the close of entries for each event.
